Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival at the Entebbe International Airport
Arriving at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by a knowledgeable Uganda birding guide who will drive you to your booked hotel / lodge in e. Check in, refresh and then head for a short birding experience in the botanical gardens. Birds like the kingfisher, pink backed pelican, purple banded sunbird and more.
Later return to the lodge for dinner and the night.
Day 2
Transfer to semuliki national Park
After the early breakfast, using a 4X4 tour vehicle, you will set off for semuliki national Park. This journey is about 8hours long. You shall have stopovers like at the Equator for water experiments, photography. Have lunch en-route. Semuliki is the best birding spot which is also known as the "birders Haven". It's hosts about 400 bird species. Arrive in the evening check in to an accommodation have dinner and rest.
Day 3
Bird semuliki national Park
After early morning breakfast at your lodge, with packed lunch, embark on an entire day of birding in the park Alon the kirumiya trail. Here you expect to spot species like nkulegu rail, yellow throated cockoo, lemon bellied crombec, black collard love bird among others.
In the evening, you are returned to your lodging facility fro dinner and rest.
Day 4
Another day semuliki
You start the drive to the park early morning after breakfast. You continue to look out more birds commonlysought out like the white throated swallow, swamp palm bulbul, red throated athle and more. At the end of the day, driven back to the lodge for dinner and the night.
Day 5
Drive to Kibaale forest
This a birding drive rather than a road drive. It will be a slow drive for you have the chance to spot more bird species en-route. Arrive in the evening. Check in to the booked accommodation for dinner and the night.
Day 6
Birding Kibaale forest
After an early morning breakfast, you will get to the forest in search of forest bird species like the green breasted pitta. Return to the lodge for lunch and then go on bird watching at bigodi wetland. With more than 200 bird species. Great blue turaco, yellow billed barbet, white spotted fulfftail, shining-blue kingfisher and more.
Then at the end of the day, return to the lodge for the night.
Day 7
Depart for Entebbe International Airport
This the last day, after breakfast, board for the drive back to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back.
